we had a little bit of excitement at your place last thursday night. around 2:30 a.m. (friday morning), i woke up to bonnie barking, so i went downstairs and looked around, but didn't see anything, so i calmed her down and went back to bed. within a minute, though, she started barking again, so i went downstairs again. as i came down the stairs, i saw her standing in the mudroom, barking in the direction of the hot tub. as i rounded the corner into the mudroom, i saw the silhouette a man on the deck. he was standing at the door. i yelled, and he ran out the gate which was wide open. i called the police, and they arrived within just a few minutes, but there was nothing they could do at that point. interestingly enough, i had seen a report on the denver news the previous week about a series of burglaries in north boulder (apparently there have been several). the good news is that nothing was damaged or stolen, and no one was hurt. both charles and i are grateful that bonnie is such a good watchdog. good girl, bonnie! (laci was spending the night that night, but he didn't bark at all.) so...that was kinda spooky...but all seems well again. my intention in telling you this is not to worry you, of course...i just thought you should know.
